Creating Confidence and Courage Small Group Coaching - 7 weeks
A 7-week small-group coaching experience for curious kids ages 8–11
Confidence isn't a personality trait your child either has or doesn't. It's a skill — and like any skill, it grows with the right tools, the right practice, and a safe place to try.
Creating Confidence and Courage is a seven-week journey designed to give your child exactly that. In small groups of no more than five, kids meet weekly for an hour of story, reflection, journaling, and creative work — building a real, named toolkit they can carry into school, friendships, sports, and every "I can't do this" moment that's coming their way.
What your child will build
Over seven weeks, your child will leave with seven concrete tools — not abstract ideas, but practices with names they'll actually remember and reach for:
A "Canville Pass" for the moment "I can't" shows up
Pilot Instructions for the beliefs that steer their day
Possibility Seeds that turn "I can't" into "How can I?"
A 5-step process for walking through fear
A way to cut the if-then thinking that quietly keeps kids stuck
A Mirror Mantra — their own inner-best-friend voice
Power Goggles — the master skill of choosing how to see what happens
How it works
Seven weekly sessions, one hour each
Small group: capped at 4 children, ages 8–11
Held in the small study room at the Roxborough or Highlands Ranch Public Library
Each child receives a journal — the journal becomes their workbook
Parent take-home guides sent each week, so the language at home stays connected to the language in the room
What makes this different
Tami is a certified Adventures in Wisdom Wisdom Coach and the author of The Curiosity Tree: Growing Strong Minds. . Every session is grounded in research-backed growth-mindset principles — and shaped by years of working creatively with young people. Creating Confidence and Courage is built on the Adventures in Wisdom coaching framework, woven through with the warmth, curiosity, and creative spirit of The Present Path.
The work is small, careful, and real. There's no performing, no pressure to "get it right." Just seven small moments where a child looks up from their journal and realizes they're not the only one — and that they have a toolkit now.
Is this right for your child?
Creating Confidence and Courage is a great fit for kids who:
Get frustrated easily and shut down when things feel hard
Hold themselves back from trying because they're afraid to fail
Have a loud "inner critic" voice
Are curious, creative, and ready to engage with their own growth
Would benefit from a small, supportive group of peers doing the same work
This is a coaching program, not therapy. If your child is in active mental-health treatment, I'm happy to talk with you about whether the timing is right.
