Session B

A summer growth mindset adventure for rising kindergarteners ages 4–5

Do you have a child heading into kindergarten in the fall? This is a summer made just for them.

Ready to Grow is eight weeks of story, play, movement, and craft - designed to give your soon-to-be-kindergartener a felt sense of being a curious, capable kid in a kind room. Through gentle stories and hands-on creating, your child will build early growth mindset roots and the quiet skills that make kindergarten feel exciting instead of scary.

Each day, your child will hear a story, move their body, make something to take home, and leave with one little idea that sticks. By summer's end, they'll have a whole magic backpack of tools and they'll know, in their bones, that trying is the bravest thing a kid can do.

How it works

  • 2 weeks, 8 days, Monday - Thursday 90 minutes each — held at Miller Visual Media Studio

  • Drop-off

  • Small group of 15 children, with two teachers (1:7-8 ratio)

  • All supplies included — your child takes home a craft every day

What your child will explore

Week 1 — I Can Try (Days 1–4) The growth mindset foundation: trying is brave, mistakes help us grow, courage lives inside us, and we can be kind to ourselves.

Week 2 — Ready for Kindergarten (Days 5–8) The school-readiness arc: big feelings are okay, asking for help is a superpower, our questions matter, and we are ready.

What makes this different

This isn't a drop-in craft class. It's a thoughtfully built curriculum, co-taught by two educators who specialize in youth development and these exact ideas:

  • Tami is a certified Adventures in Wisdom Wisdom Coach, and the author of The Curiosity Tree: Growing Strong Minds. The Confidence Lab she runs for older children is the inspiration for this program - gently adapted for little ones.

  • Amanda is a Montessori-trained early childhood educator with years of classroom experience. Her sensibility - child-led pacing, hands-on materials, real conversation, and respect for what little kids actually need shapes every lesson.

Together, we promise this: a soft-landing room where your child can be exactly who they are, try things that feel a little new, and leave each day with something to hold and a story to tell.
